Mother Nature Cares For Bipolar Disorder

A Question Worth Asking About Bipolar Treatment

“If you have bipolar disorder, medication will likely be the foundation of your treatment plan.”
“You may not like the idea of taking bipolar medication long term, especially if you’re struggling with unpleasant side effects. But just as a diabetic needs insulin to stay healthy, taking medication for bipolar disorder will help you maintain a stable mood.”

These statements are commonly presented as settled fact.

But they leave out something important.

The Risks Patients Are Rarely Asked to Weigh

Tegretol (carbamazepine) carries this warning:

“Serious and sometimes fatal dermatologic reactions, including Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), have been reported during treatment.”
— RxList

Lamictal (lamotrigine) carries a warning for serious rashes that may require hospitalization and discontinuation.

Depakote (valproate) includes this warning:

“Hepatic failure resulting in fatalities has occurred in patients receiving valproate and its derivatives.”
— RxList

These are not rare footnotes.
They are acknowledged risks.

So an honest question deserves to be asked:

What if there were another option?

What if there were an approach that showed equal or greater effectiveness,
with no reported severe adverse effects in clinical research?

And what if patients were allowed to know about it?

A Traditional Formula, Studied in Modern Research

Researchers studied a Traditional Chinese Medicine formula known as Xiao Yao San Jia Wei in 50 individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

The formula includes herbs such as:

  • Angelica

  • Peony

  • Bupleurum

  • Ginger

  • Peppermint

  • Licorice

  • Poria mushroom

Results:

  • 52% showed marked improvement

  • 34% showed moderate improvement

  • 14% showed no improvement

  • No significant side effects were reported

For comparison, a large clinical trial of Tegretol (carbamazepine) involving 224 patients showed:

  • 41% with marked improvement

  • A very high rate of adverse effects reported in clinical use

By these measures, Xiao Yao San Jia Wei demonstrated a higher rate of marked improvement, without the level of risk associated with conventional mood stabilizers.

Choosing Order Before Suppression

This is not an argument against medication.

It is an argument for informed sequencing.

Nature-first does not mean anti-medicine.
It means beginning with the least harmful, most regulating approach — and escalating only if needed.

Our Bupleurum Formula

The traditional ingredients used in Xiao Yao San Jia Wei form the foundation of our Bupleurum Formula, with additional herbs chosen for nervous system support and resilience:

Skullcap
– Studied for mood support and pain relief comparable to naproxen in osteoarthritis.

Ginseng
– Studied for benefits in blood pressure, blood sugar regulation, energy, mood, well-being, and hormonal balance (including DHEA).

Magnolia bark
– Studied for its anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effects.

Red Jujube fruit
– Traditionally used and studied for digestive support and nervous system calming.

Beyond Bipolar: Nervous System Sensitivity

This same formula has been studied for symptom relief in:

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Treatment-resistant schizophrenia

Historically, it was formulated centuries ago in Japan for emotionally sensitive, easily overwhelmed individuals — a description that aligns closely with modern understandings of nervous system dysregulation.

A Different Philosophy of Care

You can always add medication later.

You cannot undo harm once it’s done.

Beginning with a gentler, regulatory approach honors the body’s intelligence — and preserves options rather than narrowing them.

That, to us, is what responsible care looks like.

Infertility and PCOS Natural Treatment

Natural Remedies for PCOS and Infertility

Did you know that using herbs for PCOS and Infertility nearly doubles the chances of a full term pregnancy and birth?

PCOS is the most common cause of infertility in the US, and is characterized by weight gain, irregular or lack of menstruation, and signs of elevated Testosterone, such as acne, facial hair, and hair loss. (1)  In PCOS and infertility, testosterone levels are elevated, combined with Metabolic Syndrome and insulin resistance.

Herbs for PCOS and Infertility?

Doctors in Australia searched the medical research database for Randomized Controlled Trials or RCTs, measuring the effectiveness of different treatments for female infertility with and without PCOS.  RCTs are a type of scientific experiment which aims to remove bias when testing a treatment.

They looked at two treatments; Traditional Herbal Medicine, which uses herbs for PCOS, and Western Medicine, which uses IVF, pharmaceuticals and hormones.

In forty RCTs involving 4247 women with infertility caused by PCOS, endometriosis, and other causes, pregnancy success rates in the Traditional Herbal Medicine group were 60% compared with 33% in the Western Medicine group. (2)

Based on the review of 40 randomized clinical trials, you will nearly double your probability of a successful pregnancy and birth, if you opt for Nature over Pharmaceuticals.

Traditional Eastern Medicine doctors have the experience of 3000 years of historical documentation to aid in their expertise of prescribing plant medicines.  And now we have science: 40 clinical trials, randomized to eliminate clinician bias, and placebo controlled to eliminate the possibility of spontaneous resolution, seems to offer a scientific basisYou can get these herbs HERE!

I’ve written up one PCOS and Infertility Case Study so you can get an idea how we work through regulating hormones using herbs for PCOS and infertility.

PCOS Natural Treatment

Herbal Medicine for the management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Six herbs were identified as helpful and scientifically proven to help with PCOS – Chaste Berry (aka Vitex), Tribulus, Black Cohosh, Cinnamon, White Peony, and Licorice Root.  Here’s some of the study findings.

A plant called Tribulus was compared to Clomid for increasing the rate of ovulation.  In a group of women with PCOS, Tribulus increased ovulation rates by 60% in 3 months.  Clomid increased ovulation rates by 47%. While both were successful, Tribulus had a higher percentage increase. (3)

Licorice Root was compared to a placebo for its effectiveness in reducing testosterone.  In two months, Licorice Root lowered testosterone levels from 27 to 17.  Women begin to see the first signs of a beard coming in at 22.  (4)

White Peony and Cinnamon decreased LH levels by 49.7% in a period of 8 weeks. This is a significant lab finding in infertility treatment, making these plants effective natural treatments for infertility.  (5)

Chasteberry, Vitex agnus castus

Elevated Prolactin is found in approximately 30% of patients with PCOS. A plant called Vitex had been studied in comparison to Bromocriptine for high Prolactin.

Vitex lowered prolactin levels 297 points in 3 months.  Bromocriptine lowered prolactin levels 266 points in the same time frame.

Both were highly successful at achieving the desired outcome, but Vitex has no side effects, making it one of the best natural remedies for PCOS and Infertility.

Natural Treatments for Infertility: Three clinical trials proved that Vitex improved the regulation of the female cycle. (6)

Black Cohosh

Black Cohosh more than doubled the incidence of pregnancy, from 20% to 43%.   The Black Cohosh group had nearly two times more pregnancies over 3 months compared to Clomid, a drug used to stimulate ovulation.  (7)

In another study, Black Cohosh was compared to pharmaceutical Progesterone for uterine fibroids.  After 12 week, the Black Cohosh group had decreased fibroid size by 30%, while the progesterone group increased fibroid size a bit, by 4.7% (8)

Nature improved a lab marker that Medicine cannot budge.

Metformin is a drug for treatment of  PCOS as well as diabetes, because it lowers insulin and improves blood sugar.  Cinnamon was compared side by side, and lowered insulin and testosterone levels just as much as Metformin.  However, Cinnamon had no adverse effects.  (9)

You can read it all yourself if you can understand doctor language.  When you see for yourself, come back and order True PCOS Relief, which is these 6 herbs in a tincture form!

Eastern Medicine uses Acupressure (or acupuncture) in combination with herbs.  This acupressure protocol significantly improved PCOS symptoms and testosterone levels!

PCOS Medical Treatment Options

PCOS is considered incurable, but they do their best to manage symptoms.  Although the cause is unknown, lab results consistently reveal high Luteinizing hormone (LH), Estrogen, Testosterone and Insulin.

Medical treatment for PCOS includes birth control pills to regulate the cycle, although it renders you infertile.

They use Clomid for infertility, Metformin for elevated Insulin and Metabolic Syndrome, and Bromocriptine for infertility with high Prolactin (easy to tell, because you produce milk but can’t get pregnant).

Clomid has a side effect called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. “Symptoms of OHSS include swelling of the hands or legs, abdominal pain and swelling, shortness of breath, weight gain, and nausea or vomiting. OHSS can be fatal.” (RxList)

Metformin “has a high incidence of adverse effects.”  (Quote from the study)

Bromocriptine is a drug used for Parkinson’s disease.  It has 50 known side effects listed, including seizures and heart attack.  (RxList)

Plus, for all the risk taken, the results were mediocre.

The authors of the study explained that the reason for their research was:

  1. Medical treatment is not adequately effective. (10)

  2. Medical treatment has significant side effects. (11)

  3. Their patients seem to prefer alternatives to medical care. (12)

Borderline Personality Disorder

“Borderline personality disorder is a mental illness marked by an ongoing pattern of varying moods, self-image, and behavior.”

“People with Borderline Personality disorder may experience intense episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety.  These episodes may last from a few hours to days.

People with borderline personality disorder also tend to view things in extremes. As a result, their opinions of other people can change quickly. An individual who is seen as a friend one day may appear as an enemy or traitor the next.

It is important that people with borderline personality disorder receive evidence-based, specialized treatment from an appropriately trained provider.”

The above is the description provided by the National Institute of Mental Health.  They recommend talking to a therapist you trust, but they don’t have an evidence based medicine to offer.  In my opinion, they recommend something that they do not have available as a method of treatment.

Calm your “oversensitive” minds.  Mother Nature offers evidence based medicine for Borderline Personality Disorder.

Traditional Chinese Medicine has a plant formulation for borderline personality disorder.

The use of Bupleurum for Liver disorders began over 2000 years ago.  Over 500 years ago a formulation was created for use in the treatment of agitation in children. They call it Yi-gan-san, commonly referred to as Bupleurum Formula.

In 2008, Chinese doctors decided their medicine needed scientific validation.  As a course of treatment, they gave 20 women medically diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bupleurum formula daily.

After 12 weeks, they concluded there was a “highly significant improvement in anxiety, tension, depressive mood, hostility, suspiciousness, motor retardation, uncooperativeness, and excitement subscale.”

If I understand correctly, the excitement subscale measures mania or manic episodes.

Later in 2008, they tested their medicine with Tardive Diskinesia.  This is what they call the condition of facial twitching caused by antipsychotic medicine.  It helped again, significantly.

In 2009 they gathered schizophrenics to test their medicine, and in 2011, they tried it for hallucinations.

In 2012, a professor of psychiatric medicine reported that this plant formulation “is a well-tolerated and effective remedy. It improves the symptoms of schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, hallucinations, and tardive dyskinesia.”  You can read the studies here.

Based on these studies, you can see that this plant mixtures is effective in a variety of different personality and mental issues.

Bupleurum is a key ingredient in True Masculine StrengthTrue Stress Resilience is the Western version of the rest of the ingredients in the Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bupleurum formula.

If you purchased Bupleurum Formula from our online store, you would have evidence-based specialized treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder, the mental illness where you feel things too intensely.

Also, it works well for hallucinations, for when you see things that aren’t there.

And maybe, someday, we will find the value in our overly-sensitive.  Maybe we’ll celebrate them instead of giving them a medical condition.  In the meantime, Bupleurum Formula will provide:

  • Strength to your sensitivity and vitality, which dries your tears.
  • It levels out the extremes of good and bad.
  • Gets your blood pumping and moving, and increases motivation.
  • Relaxes tension and agitation, and increases a feeling of peacefulness.
  • Relieves feeling stuck, and nourishes better choices.

Sounds weird to me, but it’s evidence based and scientifically validated for use with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Parkinson’s is a Progressive Disease

Parkinson’s disease cannot be stopped or reversed, but medications can slow the progression.

That mean’s that every day in your future is going to be worse.  Unless you visit True Health.  Which, if you haven’t heard, offers healing by donationWhatever you can pay.

I cared for my second Parkinson’s patient this morning.  After just over a month as a patient, he reported that his tremor is decreasing, and he has reduced his medication.

You are welcome to read the results of my first Parkinson’s case by clicking here.

I suppose I could be lying, but crimes require a motive or benefit.  I don’t have a fee to collect, and the patient this morning has spent $45 dollars on his medicine.  People lie to make millions, but it’s pretty rare to lie for 45 bucks.

No, I’m not wealthy.  In fact my two girls and I are squeezing into the basement, where our clinic is located, so we can rent our home upstairs to make ends meet.

I’m faithful.  The wife of my Parkinson’s patient today emailed after their first visit.  She said she wanted to donate more, because they felt and slept so well after one hour of True Health.

Have you ever left a doctor’s visit and later wished you had paid him more?

My last patient of the day was a tired and hurt woman.  After just over one month of True Health, her vertigo, shooting pain in her eye, feet pain, irritability, and exhaustion are gone.

And her medicine cost, what do you know, 45 dollars.  Plus whatever she could donate to my family.

I charged a fee for these healing stories.  IBS.  Chronic PainDisabling Pain and Lyme Disease.  Severe MigrainesMigraines and Dry Eye SyndromeUlcerative Colitis. A Terminal Illness.  Her endocrinologist gave her 6 weeks to live.  Four years ago.

Gall StonesShe still has her Gall BladderMany Thyroid ConditionsMemory Loss and Heart Failure.

Click on conditions at the top of the page, to see if I have already healed yours.  Each condition has brief description, and then a video describing what the top 6 healing sciences offer your condition.   Below the video, I have the most dramatic healing stories True Health has witnessed, using five of the top 6 healing sciences.

We don’t offer conventional medicine.  Conventional medicine offers the story of a progressive disease, and nothing can stop it.  We don’t offer that.  True Health offers the healing of Mother Nature and a soft touch.

And hope to people who have none.

My motive is healing, unconditionally.  I challenge you to bring me a symptom, condition, or disease that I cannot heal.  If you aren’t completely happy with your results after the first month, I’ll give you your 45 bucks back for the cost of the medicine.
